Text to Treat (T2T) is a text messaging service centered around ART medication adherence. The program is designed to provide customized daily or weekly discreet and encouraging text message reminders to all persons living with HIV.

Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is recommended for all people living with HIV, regardless of CD4 cell count, to consistently suppress viral load, maintain high CD4 cell counts, prevent AIDS, prolong survival, and reduce risk of transmitting HIV to others. Medication adherence, or taking medications correctly, is key to seeing successful ART.

Our texting program offers a self-tailored and discreet text messaging system that acts as a reminder to take medication as needed. Once enrolled not only will you be able set up your custom text reminders, you will also have the opportunity to connect with UHHB staff to discuss other best practices for successful treatment adherence.
