Established in 1983 as Wellness Networks, Inc., AIDS Partnership Michigan was Michigan’s oldest AIDS service organization. APM was established to better address the emerging AIDS epidemic in the Metro Detroit area. AIDS Partnership Michigan had a long track record of providing education and services to help prevent the spread of HIV and to help connect people living with HIV to needed care and resources. The HIV/AIDS Resource Center (HARC) was founded in 1986 by a group of volunteers to provide HIV/AIDS related services to the people of Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, and Washtenaw counties. In its long history of providing prevention and care services, HARC developed into a leading HIV/AIDS service provider in Michigan.
In 2015, these two organizations brought together more than 60 years of experience and expertise together in a merger that created UNIFIED - HIV Health and Beyond. We are leading the way in creating a regional model for HIV and related care in Southeast Michigan.
